Saved to serve

Every single day of our lives, we've probably passed by thousands of people. From the person sitting next to you in the bus, to your neighbor who's taking her dog for a walk and smiles at you while she passes by, they're not just "people". They're souls. Souls who don't know God. Souls who are searching for something greater than what this world has to offer us. Maybe our friends, colleagues & co-workers (etc) seem pretty happy, but are they?

We have what they're looking for. Jesus showed His love for us by coming to this world and dying for our sins on the cross. We are saved because He chose us. He knows that we have potential to reach out to others.

Sometimes we ask God to give us the right opportunity to speak to them. The truth is, everytime we talk to them is the right opportunity. It's just that we don't want to take it.

So make sure you take it next time, because maybe, just maybe, that's the only opportunity you'll get.

Winning a soul to Jesus doesn't just take a day or two. It may talk months or maybe years. But you can't just give up after a few weeks. Do you think that's something Jesus would have done? You can't expect to win then just by proving that God exists or just with your own knowledge. Sometimes people are just hard-hearted and ignorant. The only thing we can do is to pray, fast and trust God to have His way.

Mark 9:29 - And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Just because Jesus gave His life for you so that you could be with Him, doesn't mean that you have to do nothing. You are saved to serve and to reach out to others.

I pray that this will give you the burden to share Jesus ' love with your friends, family and co-workers.

Trust: The Most Difficult Thing to do

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Okay. I admit it. That's pretty tough. I have problems trusting someone I can physically see. And now I'm supposed to trust someone who's way up in the clouds? - Are those your thoughts right now? If so, don't worry. I've been there.

There were times I felt like I was alone and didn't know what to do. There were times when I felt like my prayers didn't even reach the ceiling. And yet, I trusted Jesus. When I felt like my whole world was falling apart and that no one cared about me, I trusted Him.

I don't know what you're going through right now, but I just wanna tell you to trust Him.

I don't know what His plans are for you. But I sure know this. He knows what He's doing. He's in control of your situation right now. Don't take over. Let God handle it. It doesn't matter if you can't see it because your miracle is on the way. Your blessing is on the way.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

And all you have to do is trust Him.
